Asiago’s Astrophysical Observatory - The equatorial mount of the Galileo Telescope is of the English type with two pillars to the north and south supporting the polar axis, the off-axis telescope tube and the short declination axis. The north pillar does not allow full coverage of the sky around the Pole.
