Asiago’s Astrophysical Observatory - Originally conceived in two optical configurations, Newton and Cassegrain, the telescope is now definitively used in Cassegrain configuration. The secondary mirror, hyperbolic in shape, has a diameter of 52 cm and the focal plane is located 84 cm behind the reflecting surface of the primary mirror.
